Voted joint Agency of the Decade in 2010 by leading business weekly FinWeek in its annual Tony Koenderman AdReview, The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa), is a creative beyond-the-line communications brand with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Footnote: The Jupiter Drawing Room structure is unusual in that the brand ownership is separated out from operational agency ownership. Amongst other advantages, this facilitates the handling of competitive business in each agency office.
The Jupiter Drawing Room brand is owned by The Lionheart Brand Holding Company, (formally The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa) & Partners). The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa) manages The Jupiter Drawing Room brand on behalf of Lionheart. In 2009 WPP, the world's largest and most creative marketing communications group, took a 49% stake in The Jupiter Drawing Room brand and operating agencies.

Graham WarsopChairmanWhen Graham Warsop graduated with an LLM from Cambridge and qualified as a Barrister he realised that his passion could not be satisfied in the field of law. Having arrived in South Africa in 1987 to finish a novel, he took a job as a copywriter in a local advertising agency. After 18 months in the industry Graham thought of moving companies. Then he thought, instead of moving companies, why not start one? Thus some handshakes and a fabulous short story by Guy de Maupassant later, The Jupiter Drawing Room was born. Never one to do things by halves Graham went from junior copywriter to Chairman and Executive Creative Director overnight. As well as chairing The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa), Graham is hands-on Executive Creative Director of the Johannesburg office. In the 20 years that Graham has been in advertising, he has won more creativity points (as measured by the official SA Creativity Survey) than any other Creative Director in South Africa. He is also the only Creative Director in South Africa to have served on the juries of all four major international festivals (Cannes, D&AD, The One Show and Clio’s) the latter he Chaired (Print & Poster) in 2001. A fervent believer in integrated creativity, Graham has grown The Jupiter Drawing Room to take a totally through-the-line approach to its work. Proof of this is reflected in the range of categories for which he has won the following international awards: 17 Cannes Lions, 23 Clios, 11 One Show Pencils, 27 London International Statues and 70 Medals at The New York Festival including Best of Show for Magazine in 2001 and he’s still not finished.
